Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist who currently is a competitor with the UFC flyweight division. She is older than fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her fight sport career with a Muay Thai boxer. She debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and beat Suzane Miller in the finals via the unanimous vote. Antonina received a gold medal in 2007, a silver medal in 2008, a silver in 2007 followed by she also won a bronze medal in 2008 and a medal gold in 2011. Antonina was also named IFMA World Amateur Muay Thai Champion 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia started her professional career in at the age of 2003. She took home the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships in 2012 and the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships 2016, and the WMC World Championships as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's final fight was with Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by a unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko broke the professional MMA record in 2002 during the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She went 3-0, after winning the second-round TKO. The next two fights were won at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko was forced to take a absence from MMA and concentrated on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui with a unanimous decision. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in a unanimous decision. She quit the club in 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina demonstrated her power of striking by tying Nievera using knees. Antonina Shevchenko received the UFC contract after the victory. Antonina Shevchenko made her debut in UFC in The TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting match against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was defeated by Roxanne modafferi by split decision, after winning her debut fight. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke and won the fight of the night bonus during the bout. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in the next three fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski but lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina is currently being knocked out by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
