Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell was TV personality and ex-chef at the Institute of Culinary Education and formerly teaches cooking. Anne W. Burrell is host on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef for Food Network. Food Network, as well as the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host with spiky blond wigs and a pumped-up personality, explains how to prepare restaurant-style meals in your home with simple techniques. Chef Burrell is also an experienced chef of New York City's best restaurants. She has also studied Italy's culinary tradition and the culture of Italy, as well as the landscape. As a child in the upstate of New York, Chef Burrell developed a passion for cooking and food in her early years. She pursued her love of the restaurant industry by enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America following her graduation in English as well as Communication at Canisius College, Buffalo NY. I loved every minute of being a student at The Culinary Institute of America she says. I just couldn't get enough pleasure from it. Following graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. In Italy the chef gained an appreciation and knowledge of Italian culinary traditions. It made a huge impact on how she views food. Burrell is a well-known ambassador to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that assists kids with disabilities. as a speaker, guest and teacher, she travels around the US to talk about her culinary passion and career. Anne says she was incredibly fortunate that I could communicate her love of cooking to other people.
