Vinita Nair
She joined ABC News on July 4, 2004 and was a reporter across a variety of subjects, such as investigation into the Jon Benet Ramsey murder investigation and school shootings in Bailey, Colorado. Nair joined ABC News as an anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now in December 2007. In this role she was responsible for anchoring live stories and briefs for ABC's network on the internet. Nair was co-anchor on World News Now and America This Morning on ABC starting on September 17th, 2008 until February 18, 2011. She was partnered with Jeremy Hubbard and later Rob Nelson on both shows. Nair told the viewers on World News Now that she will not appear on World News Now after Friday 18th February. This would also be her last day with ABC News. Peggy Bunker from KDVR Denver was appointed her successor. The February 18 edition of World News Now paid tribute to Nair in each of its three segments. The show also included appearances from current and former colleagues like Jeremy Hubbard. The morning she left she treated her team to breakfast that was delicious.
