Miesha Theresa

Miesha Theresa Tate, an American mixed martial arts expert. Also a former mixed martial artist, she been a participant for the Ultimate Fighting Championship and is an ex- UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. Born in Tacoma, Washington, she was very involved in sport during her high school years. She began attending an mixed martial arts club located at Central Washington University after a friend recommended the program. In her 20s she participated in her first amateur bout to Elizabeth Posener, who specialized in Muay Thai. Her first fight as a professional in the HOOKnSHOOT one-night women's Grand Prix in 2007. After two years, Tate won the FCF Women's Bantamweight Championship for first time. Tate was highly praised and applauded because of her style of combat which was a blend of Brazilian JiuJitsu and wrestling. After that, her popularity rose when she became first female to win the Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Championship. The model has appeared not only for mixed martial artists, but as well for a variety of websites and publications, including 'ESPN The Magazine and Fitness Gurls.
