Alicia Machado was born Yoseph Alicia Machado in Maracay Venezuela 6 December 1976. Alicia comes from a wide family background, with her father Spanish, and her mother is of Cuban origin. Through her entire life she's left an important mark in the field of beauty pageants, TV, and film. Alicia Machado began her rise to fame when, at age 19, she won her title as Miss Venezuela representing Yaracuy. Machado was crowned Miss Universe 1996 one year following her crowning Miss Venezuela.
